The next in our Escape Concrete Beijing Series takes us to Huairou. This season is the best time of the year and should provide some great photo opps. The mountains of Huairou County will already be decorated with necklaces of red and orange posing charmingly in the autumn wind like a person twisting and turning to see him/herself in the mirror. One of Beijing’s most famous temples, Hongluo Temple, is our destination. We will stroll along the mountain paths and enjoy the natural majestic beauty of the red leaves and visit the temple. Located at the foot of the Hongluo Mountain, the temple is seven kilometres northwest of Huairou County. It was first built during the Tang Dynasty (618-907 AD) and covers an area of 16.6 acres.
