HR Mixer on Trade Unions. Please note that this event has been re-scheduled to the 23rd October.


The European Chamber would like to invite you to this HR Mixer (presentation and networking) focusing on “Trade Unions.” Vivian Desmonts, European Chamber PRD Board member, will get the discussion going with a presentation on Trade Unions in China. General Managers, HR professionals and other participants are invited to share own experiences and cases their encountered in their companies. Afterwards, we welcome you to stay on to exchange and mingle with other HR professionals.

During this forum we will discuss the following topics:

* What are the legal duties of an employer towards the trade union?
* What is the role of the trade union during dismissal?
* What to do in case of strike by the employees?

Speaker

Vivian Desmonts, attorney at law, joined DS Avocats law firm in 1998 in their China Law Department and has worked in the Firm’s offices in Paris and Shanghai. Since 2004, he has been managing DS Avocats office in Guangzhou and has been developing the firm’s activities in several provinces of South China. He is a member of the Paris bar and has 9 years experience in Chinese legal practice. His practice focuses on Foreign-Direct Investments in China and covers corporate law, mergers and acquisitions, labor law, tax & customs laws and intellectual property laws.
